Our speakers all stated how important it is for the entire community to be involved in education, not just those who are directly involved via employment or having public school students in the family.

What are some ways that you can be actively involved with education?

- Volunteer at a school - read with a child, help teachers with tasks, offer a special program

- Attend Principal for a Day (hosted by Guilford Education Alliance) on February 23rd - shadow a principal and discover what a typical school day is like

- Advocate for appropriate funding for public school education from local, state, and national leaders

- Make contributions to Teacher Supply Warehouse and DonorsChoose.org

- Subscribe to the Guilford Education Alliance newsletter and pay special attention to news items related to education to be more informed

- Talk with your colleagues at work and your friends about the importance of supporting quality education for our community’s future

- Thank every teacher you know for the important work they are doing!
