Teacher Supply Warehouse

Double Brace: “I’m a big believer in recycling. The Greensboro Area Convention & Visitors Bureau was moving. We didn’t want to take outdated materials, yet those items were still usable. Rather than throw them away, we donated them to the Teacher Supply Warehouse.” Gail Murphy, Director of Marketing, Greensboro Area Convention & Visitors

The Teacher Supply Warehouse is a partnership between Guilford Education Alliance, Guilford County Schools and the Welfare Reform Liaison Project. The Warehouse receives new and used donated items from individuals, organizations and businesses and lets Guilford County Schools teachers "shop" and take items back to their classroom. When classrooms are short on school supplies, teachers often make up the difference. According to a national study, teachers spend $500-$800 per year of their own money to supply their classrooms.

To donate items or funding, call the Guilford Education Alliance at (336) 841-4332. You can also deliver items directly to the Warehouse during regular business hours, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. The Warehouse is located at 1601 Yanceyville Street, Greensboro. All organizations and individuals who make a donation of goods or cash will receive a tax receipt for their donation.

Teachers can sign up to shop at the Warehouse by visiting the Guilford County Schools Website.
