Christine “Chris” Greene has been a life-long education, advocate and promoter of education in Guilford County and her impact upon students, parents and the community at large has been immense. Education has been her passion for as long as I can remember and her name has been synonymous with excellence and commitment to quality education for Guilford County and our entire state of North Carolina.

Chris spent many years as a classroom teacher and counselor across several schools in High Point. Her firsthand experiences in “the trenches” have made her a very effective and successful advocate for our public schools. This professional background very significantly helped in her leadership role at the NC Board for Public School Administrators for which she was appointed by Governor Hunt. She also Co-Chaired both the $200 million and $300 million School Bond Referendums in 1999 and 2004. In addition to this she has served on the NC Board of licensed Professional Counselors for which she was appointed by Governor Easley.  Chris’ impact has been felt at the personal level by generations of students who have benefited from her wise counsel and guidance at the local, regional and state level where she has been a relentless advocate for better education.
