Invest in Education

Make a financial contribution to GEA. As an independent nonprofit, GEA is uniquely poised to leverage private donations to:

ENGAGE community members in programs and events that build a collective, research and experience-based understanding of the complex issues and dynamics that shape public education.

ADVOCATE for strong investment in Guilford County Schools (GCS) and on critical issues impacting GCS educators, students and families.

SUPPORT strategic school system and community initiatives.

COLLABORATE with people and organizations to connect community resources with the needs of GCS educators, students and families.

Donate Supplies

Help stock the shelves of the Teacher Supply Warehouse.

The average teacher spends $600–$1000 of their own money each year on classroom supplies. To help offset this personal financial burden, GEA operates the Teacher Supply Warehouse, a community-wide collaboration that offers free, new and gently- used classroom supplies to GCS teachers. There are easy ways to help:

HOST an in-person or virtual supply drive with your house of faith, scout troop, neighborhood or any other community group of which you are a part. Email uswe have everything you need to get started.
